Gabby Logan was born into a sporting family. Her father was Terry Yorath the Welsh soccer internationalist and manager. Gabby herself is a former gymnast who represented Wales in the 1990 Commonwealth Games in Australia.
Her presenting career started in 1996 when she took on a presenting position with Sky sports. A few years later she joined ITV and spent almost 10 years with them before eventually moving to the BBC.
She has appeared in numerous TV programmes and game shows. These include, Have I Got News For You and most recently in 2023, Celebrity Catchphrase. We’re starting to loose count on how many times she has appeared on Would I Lie to You? She’s been on 8 Out of 10 Cats 5 times. Other shows include Pointless Celebrities and Richard Osman’s House of Games.
In 2001 Gabby Logan married the former Scottish Rugby Internationalist Kenny Logan.
Gabby was one of the main presenters for BBC’s coverage of the 2012 London Olympics. She also hosted the opening ceremony.
2020 saw Gabby Logan presented with an MBE for services to sports broadcasting and the promotion of women in sport.
