Nina dos Santos (formerly de Roy)
Nina dos Santos took up her latest position with CNN as business correspondent in January 2012.
Now based in London Nina had spent the previous 12 months reporting on major News stories from around the globe. She covered Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding in 2011. She played a pivitol role in CNN's coverage of the Euro zone crisis, reporting from both the Paris and Brussels summits and covering events from Italy as the crisis deepened.
Nina was the first journalist to sight IMF's MD Dominique Strauss-Khan's letter of resignation after he was arrested in New York.
Nina had previously worked with Sky News and prior to joining Sky, Nina (formerly known by her maiden name 'de Roy') spent five years as a reporter and anchor at the Emmy award-winning station Bloomberg Television, where she covered a raft of high-profile stories from the death of Pope John Paul II to the killing of Alexander Litvinenko and Silvio Berlusconi's corruption trial.
Nina's assignments have seen her reporting from as far afield as Moscow and Reykjavik to Helsinki and Istanbul. English by birth, though educated in French, Nina also speaks German, Spanish and Italian and once worked as a correspondent in Rome and Milan. She has interviewed heads of state from Georgia to Egypt and major industry figures such as Bill Gates and Sir Richard Branson.
A graduate of Imperial College London, Nina has written for publications such as the Wall Street Journal and the International Herald Tribune and she has chaired events at the World Economic Forum, the Royal Institute of International Affairs and the European Parliament in Brussels.
